My Showroom

I want you to get a glimpse of the tradition that lies behind much of my work.  It is
not reasonable, nor is it faithful to American culture, to simply mimic traditional Japanese
pottery.  Therefore, my work takes what is appropriate from that rich heritage and
adapts it to a more contemporary aesthetic.
In order to get a glimpse of how pots have been made in Japan for centuries, I
am including the video below.  It shows many aspects of the process and gives a general feeling for what it is like in a Japanese pottery village.  This video was shot in Shigaraki.  I visited that town a couple of years ago and I can attest to the fact that this depiction is very accurate.  Please note, only the first 30 seconds are in Japanese.

My entire showroom, including both my pottery and my photography area, is open by appointment only.

I typically stock about 200 pots and about 40 available editions of photo montage.

Please contact me via email for further information or to set up a time to see my work in person.
